Rare seforim, Hebrew manuscripts, letters of gedolim, and antique ritual silver mostly change hands at specialist auction houses and a small circle of dealers — a world that works differently from retail Judaica shopping. This page lists who those houses and dealers are. It never tracks individual lots or sale dates; check each house’s own site for current catalogs.

How buying at auction works
Houses publish a catalog before each sale and usually hold preview days where lots can be examined in person.
Bids are placed in the room, by phone, by absentee bid, or online — often through third-party bidding platforms linked from the house’s site.
The hammer price is not the final price: houses add a buyer’s premium (commonly 15–25%), plus applicable tax and shipping for won lots.
Provenance and condition drive value. Read lot descriptions carefully and ask the house for condition reports before bidding.
